Control and management

Site supervisionin Cameroon

On site or remotely, independent control of your project's quality, timeline and budget.

An unsupervised site is the leading cause of budget overruns and defects in Cameroon. Here is how we protect your project, from groundbreaking to the handover of the keys.

The riskiest stage of a construction project

Most site disappointments — defects, lower-quality materials substituted without approval, unjustified delays, budget overruns — happen when nobody independently checks what is really happening on the ground. Once the plans are approved and the contractors chosen, site supervision is what makes the difference between a project delivered to spec and one that ends in disputes.

Our construction management method

Construction management is an integral part of our support, just like design: contractor selection and competitive tendering, coordination of the different trades, regular on-site checks, and structured reports shared with the client at every key stage.

  • Works carried out in line with the approved plans
  • Quality and compliance of the materials actually delivered to site
  • Compliance with safety standards and good building practice
  • Actual progress compared with the initial schedule
  • Handling and resolution of unforeseen technical issues

Remote site supervision

Whether you are based in another city in Cameroon or abroad, not being there should never mean a lack of control. Our remote supervision relies on regular reports, with photos and videos, so you keep full visibility on your site without having to be there all the time.

For diaspora clients, this is often the main concern before getting started — we describe our method on the page dedicated to building from the diaspora.

Handover of the works and clearing of snags

When the works are complete, a final inspection checks that the building complies with the plans and specifications. Any snags are recorded and followed up until they are cleared and the keys are handed over — the guarantee that what was approved on paper matches what was delivered.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is construction management?+

It is the architect's independent control of how the works are carried out: compliance with the plans, quality of materials, adherence to schedule and budget, through to handover.

How often are sites visited?+

The frequency depends on the phase and scale of the works — some critical stages (foundations, structure) require closer control. The pace is set when the works begin.

How do I get news of my site if I am abroad?+

You receive regular reports, with progress photos and videos, so you can follow your site wherever you are. See our page on building from the diaspora for details.

What happens if the contractor doesn't meet the expected timeline or quality?+

That is precisely the purpose of site supervision: spotting deviations quickly, having the contractor correct them, and deciding in your favour, since we represent your interests, not those of the contractor.

Is site supervision included in your services?+

Construction management is one of our five areas of expertise. It can be part of full support from the design stage, or offered for a site that has already started — let's discuss your situation.
